Information we use
We store your email, password hash, nickname, profile details, birth date, dating preferences, location you provide, uploaded photos, messages, activity posts and stories, likes, mutual matches, blocks and reports. Connection information such as IP addresses, session cookies and security logs helps us operate the site and prevent abuse. Do not put your street address, financial details or other private information in a profile or message.
Why we use it
Account information and messages let us provide the service you request. Birth dates support the adults-only rule. Security records and moderation reports support our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and protecting members. We may retain information where required by law. Dating preferences and anything you choose to disclose about your private life can be sensitive; only share what you want processed and displayed for dating. You can change your profile or request deletion.
Who can see it
Your profile and approved photos may be visible to other members and visitors according to your settings. Public images can be copied or accessed through their links; blocking a member does not guarantee removal of copies already obtained. Messages are intended for their recipients, but are stored on our server and are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized administrators may access information for support, security and moderation.
Member activity
Activity posts and text stories are reviewed before appearing in the members-only feed. Visibility respects profile privacy and member blocks. Text stories stop appearing 24 hours after submission; expiry does not erase stored text. You can delete your submissions, and account deletion removes them and their associated reports. Administrators can review submitted and reported text. Do not include sensitive personal information in an update.
Service providers and cookies
Hostinger provides our hosting and email infrastructure. Account and recovery emails pass through its mail service. We use necessary session and preference cookies. City suggestions may contact the GeoNames service when you type a location. We do not sell personal information. Payments and advertising campaigns are not enabled for this launch.
Retention and your choices
We keep account information while your account is open and as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account through account deletion, or request access, correction, export or deletion at info@buevu.com. Account deletion removes your profile, uploaded profile media, messages sent or received within Buevu, credit history, likes and reports associated with the account from the live application. Security logs and separately handled support correspondence may remain for their necessary operational or legal purpose. Depending on applicable law, you may also object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data-protection authority. We may need to verify that a request is yours. Some records may be kept longer for abuse investigations or legal obligations. Server backup copies rotate over seven days. Encrypted disaster-recovery copies are also held on an operator-controlled computer and are kept out of normal service; a daily task removes snapshots older than seven days after a new backup is verified, retaining the newest two for recovery. The task depends on that computer being available, so older retained copies require separate review when handling an erasure request. Recipients may retain copies they have saved outside Buevu.
Adults only
Buevu is for people aged 18 or over. Report an underage account to info@buevu.com so we can investigate and remove it.
Discovery and social gestures
Optional interest tags appear to eligible signed-in members in discovery and are used to rank shared interests. You can remove them at any time in Discover. We store private favourites and passed profiles to personalise discovery. Likes and virtual gifts are visible to their recipient. Spotlight stores your opt-in time and puts your profile earlier in discovery for 30 minutes. Blocking and profile visibility still apply. Deleting your account removes these records from the active database; encrypted backups follow the retention period described above.
